South African’s only surviving representative in this season’s Big Brother Africa StarGame reality show, Keagan has won the show after 91 days of nerve-racking competition.
Keagan beat five other finalists, Prezzo (Kenya), Lady May (Namibia), Talia (Zambia), Kyle (Uganda) and Wati (Malawi) to the grand prize of US$300,000.
Sunday night’s finale was a fan-packed show which had all the glitz and glamour one could expect from an event of that stature. On the bill were some of Africa's finest acts taking turns to thrill an expectant audience.
It was Ghana’s fastest rapper and BET Best International Act (Africa) winner Sarkodie who set the ball rolling with his smash hit U Go Kill Me and the almighty Azonto dance moves to match.
The reality show started with 35 housemates from 14 African countries, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Botswana, Angola, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Liberia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi.
The finale saw reunification of the evicted housemates. Notable amongst them were, Goldie (Nigeria), Saydou (Angola), Luke (Liberia), Keitta (Ghana), Jannette (Uganda), and Junia (Namibia).
Keitta, who was known for his famous boxers shorts, during an interview on stage used the platform to formally outdoor his King Azonto merchandise which will see the Ghanaian model roll out products including under-wears.
When the final evictions started, it was Wati who felt the pinch first. He was given the boot when he obtained a single vote of the total votes cast. Kyle, Talia and Lady May followed in that order with one, two and two votes respectively.
