Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong received a warm reception by his constituents when he visited the constituency Saturday.
This was his first visit to the constituency since his release from detention.
The MP has come under heavy criticism after making inflammatory comments on radio.
Addressing a crowd, many of whom trooped to Assin Fosu to catch a glimpse of him, Mr Agyapong insisted he will not relent on telling the truth and urged his fans to participate in the biometric registration exercise.
He also urged his supporters to desist from violent acts especially because of his pending trial.
Some of his supporters who spoke to Joy New asked Ghanaians to forgive the MP for his utterances.
Meanwhile lawyers for Mr Agyepong appear divided over his comments that got him into trouble.
He has been charged with treason felony, attempted genocide and terrorism.
One of his lawyers, Atta Akyea, has said he will advise Ken to apologise for offending sensibilities but the lead counsel of his legal team, Nii Ayikoi Otoo disagrees.
According to him, the matter was before the court and therefore it was improper for anybody to continue discussing its merits or otherwise.
“That amounts to contempt of court,” he said and urged all to stop commenting on the case.
