The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Council is locked up in a meeting with police and the military on how to improve security on campus.
It follows Thursday’s robbery incident at the Continental Supermarket at Unity Hall of the university.
A shop attendant and former student, 26-year old Joyce Appiah, who was shot in the head in the siege, is now on admission at the Komfo Anokye Accident and Emergency Unit.
Though her condition is said to be stable, medical sources say she will need further test to establish any possible brain injury.
Council Chairman, Paul Victor Obeng and all the big wigs are in the meeting where discussions on security on campus has taken center stage.
In the wake of the meeting, some students who spoke to Nhyira News want authorities to address security concerns.
But University Relations Officer, Kingsley Owusu Tabi says no student was affected in last Thursday’s incident.
He assured the university puts premium on safety of all students on campus.
Meanwhile, the Manhyia Division command says no one has been arrested in connection with the robbery as investigations continue.
