The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Sunyani Campus of the Faculty of Forest Resources Technology of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Tuesday presented three trophies the faculty won at the annual College of Agriculture and Renewable Natural Resource Games held in Sunyani to the Dean of the Faculty.
Presenting the trophies, Mr. Aaron Osei Agyemang, SRC President, described the feat as unprecedented in the history of the faculty, adding that it was the first time a faculty had grabbed all three trophies at stake in the competition.
He said both the men and women teams emerged victorious in football while the men also annexed the volleyball trophy.
The Sunyani Campus competed against the Faculties of Agriculture and Natural Resource Management of the Kumasi Campus.
Mr. Lawrence B. Antwi, Dean of Faculty of Forest Resources Technology, commended the students for the sterling achievement and expressed optimism that they would keep up the spirit to retain the trophies in future games.
The Dean thanked the captain and the coaches for their tireless efforts towards the success chalked at the competition and urged them not to relent.Source: GNA
