Defending League Champions Asante Kotoko responded to their recent deafeat with a blistering performance against local rivals King Faisal on Wednesday afternoon.
The Porcupine Warrior delivered a ruthless derby display to thrash King Faisal 3-0 in the Premier League.
The win at the Baba Yara Stadium reasserts the reigning champions' title credentials as they open a four-point lead at the top following defeats to their close challengers, Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold.
An own goal in the first half by Pius Baffour handed the Porcupine Warriors the lead in a late kick-off game.
Striker Seidu Bancey then bagged a brace to cement all three points for Kotoko who needed a win following their loss to AshantiGold over the weekend.
