The former president, John Agyekum Kufuor has commended Joy FM for being a leading force in the media landscape in Ghana.
As the Multimedia Group readies to celebrate 25 years of media practice in 2020, Mr Kufuor lauded the station for standing out and being exceptional.
Speaking on the Christmas edition of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, the former president said “Joy is a leading media house and I think you have attained your position by showing responsibility and social sense.
“My prayer is that you continue even as you celebrate your 25th next year. You continue to show responsibility in your work for the development of our country,” he added.
As the country prepares for the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2020, the former president urged Joy FM to use its platform to promote sensible, positive and successful electioneering.
“Joy must not lend it services to causes that would lead to disruption and destabilisation of our country,” he counseled.
Mr Kufuor wished Ghanaians, home and abroad, a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
