Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has not been named in Juventus' Super Cup squad travelling to China.
Asamoah is yet to make a playing appearance for Juventus this pre-season as he continues a fitness regime in recovery from a long injury lay-off.
Though he made a return to the first team at the end of last season after his recovery from knee surgery, the talented midfielder who plays in defence for the Bianconeri has not been named in any of Allegri's preseason squads.
This latest bit of news casts doubts over his future at the club.
Having returned from the South of France last night following their pre-season friendly in Marseille, the Bianconeri were given the day off before long journey east.
Not healed
Last week, Joy Sports reported that the player appears not to have fully recovered from the knee injury that troubled him for much of last season.
The reports followed the omission of the 26-year-old from his Italian club's 25-man squad for a trip to Poland to face Lechia Gdansk in a friendly game.
Asamoah injured his knee in November last year and was only able to play again for Juventus on May 23 this year. He has also not played for Ghana since the injury and missed the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
