Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah was named the Samsung Fair Player after Friday's Group B clash against Ivory Coast.
The Caf Technical Study Group rewarded the Udinese player for high sportsmanship in the match in which his side lost 3-1 in Cabinda.
Asamoah also sparkled in the match with his deft touches and came close to scoring in the first half when his powerful left-foot shot was parried by Ivorian goalkeeper Boubacar Barry.
The award is part of Samsung Electronics agreement with Caf as an official sponsor of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations.
The Samsung Fair Player Award is presented after each match and at the end of the tournament on 31 January.
