Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Akenteng says Ghanaians must give Kwesi Appiah time to transform the Black Stars.
Appiah was officially handed a two-year-deal on April 4,2017 and has been tasked to reshape the national team and guide them to the 2018 World Cup and the Afcon 2019 respectively.
Oti Akenteng thinks coach Appiah will need time to have a positive impact on the team.
“Ghanaians shouldn’t expect anything special and any viable results from Coach Akwasi Appiah now but, until the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
“The two-year-contract given to him will be important for him to reshape the team but, four years would have been prudent for him.
“The current developmental plan by the technical committee of the GFA would not allow him to get the demanding results in the short term,” he told Boss FM in Kumasi.
Appiah begins work on May 1.
