The Ghana Wellness and Healthcare Foundation hosted its maiden award ceremony on the 14th June 2024.
The event, themed ‘Ghana Beyond Aid - The Role of the Wellness and Healthcare Sector,’ took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel La, Accra.
This prestigious awards ceremony recognized and honored individuals and institutions excelling in the wellness and healthcare industry.
Leading figures, professionals, investors and key stakeholders from the wellness and healthcare sector were gathered to celebrate the outstanding contributions of some exceptional individuals and institutions within the wellness and healthcare space whose contributions to the development of wellness and healthcare in Ghana would forever be etched in the anals of history.
It indeed was a night of celebrations, accolades, fireworks, and excitement for the awardees at the year’s schem. This award is in honor of their commitment to innovation, ethics, excellence, client servicing and satisfaction in their respective fields, as well as their contribution towards the development of the nations' wellness and healthcare industry.
The event started on a very warm note, with the project chairperson Mrs Sara Nana Yeboah recounting the journey thus far and as well warmly welcoming the audience to the maiden edition of the Ghana Wellness and Healthcare Awards.
The event progressed with cocktail sessions that offered ample networking opportunities for attendees to connect with industry leaders and investors.
Additionally, the evening featured inspirational keynote addresses from key figures driving change and innovation in the sector, highlighting the critical role wellness and healthcare play in advancing Ghana's progress beyond aid.
The chairman of the occasion Prof. Spencer Duncan, a globally renowned leadership development consultant and facilitator in his keynote, urged institutions and professionals within the wellness and healthcare industry to embrace collaboration and knowledge sharing as critical ingredients to advancing the nation's pursuit of the 'Ghana beyond Aid vision'.
The event ended on a high note with stellar musical performances, networking and cocktail sessions, and a heart touching closing remark from the Principal Partner and Curator Mr OB Sinachy, who recounted the efforts and commitment of the health workers in the birth of his second son and child. He hoped that they'd be among those nominated for the award next year.
