Latex foam, one of Ghana’s leading foam manufacturers, has lent its support to the Tema Country Golf Club as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The company presented some of its branded items worth thousands of cedis to the club’s 2021 President’s Putter Tournament.
The items comprise a super high density (10-inch) mattress, a sofa bed, a queen-sized orthopedic mattress and 120 latex foam-branded polo shirts.
During the presentation, Public Relations Officer of Latex Foam, Gifty E. Appiah said “it’s always an honour to be of service to the community and the people we do business with.”
Latest foam is noted for sponsoring sporting activities for the past few years. According to the company’s PRO, it has been sponsoring golf games in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region over the last three years with the aim to see golf develop throughout the country.
In response to the kind gesture by latex foam, Manager of the Tema Country Golf Club, Kwadwo Antwi Boateng, who received the items, expressed his gratitude to the foam manufacturing company, indicating that the items will go a long way to motivate players for the tournament.
About tournament
The President’s Putter, the tournament, which is slated for Saturday, July 3, this year, is expected to bring together professional and amateur golfers from across the country.
The event will be played over 18 holes in accordance with the rules of golf approved by R&A and local rules of Tema Country Golf Club. Latex Foam is co-sponsoring the tournament.
Due to Tema’s geographical position at the centre of the world, plans are underway to rebrand the Tema Country Golf Club to the Centre of the World Golf Club.
