Foam manufacturing company, Latex Foam, has donated some items to support the Centre of the World Golf Club (Tema Country Golf Club's) 2021 President's Putter tournament.
The items include a queen-sized orthopedic mattress, super high-density mattress (10 inches type), sofa bed and 120 Latex Foam branded polo shirts.
The President's Putter is one of the most iconic golf tournaments on the calender of Tema Country Golf Club.
The tournament, which is slated for Saturday, July 3, this year, is expected to bring together professional and amateur golfers from across the country.
The event will be played over 18 holes in accordance with the rules of golf approved by R&A and local rules of Tema Country Golf Club. Latex Foam is co-sponsoring the tournament.
Presenting the items on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the Public Relations Officer of Latex Foam, Gifty E. Appiah said the company has always been a friend of golf in the country.
She said the company over the last three years has been sponsoring golf games in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, pointing out that it was the company’s desire to see golf develop throughout the country.
“It is our joy to see golf go forward and for the game to become popular in the country,” she noted, adding “it’s always an honour to be of service to the community and the people we do business with.”
For Mrs Appiah, Latex Foam as a leading foam manufacturing company in Ghana and West Africa, has for the past years sponsored many sporting activities, all geared towards having a healthy sporting nation.
