The leadership of Parliament has assured disgruntled drivers of MPs it is committed to addressing their concerns about their conditions of service.
The drivers, who are threatening to embark on a strike, besieged Parliament House yesterday to register their grievances.
They want their salaries increased and their general working conditions improved.
Deputy Majority Leader, Rashid Pelpuo, says the leadership of Parliament is prepared to dialogue with the drivers once they channel their concerns through the appropriate quarters.
“It is crucial for us to listen to them and to hear them out and to want to solve the problem but they would have to extend a hand of desire for us to meet and I would expect that they do the right thing by coming through the right channel to meet us,” Mr Pelpuo said.
“I don’t know the genesis of the problem; I don’t also want to assume that they have not exhausted all the channels but I can say for sure that as new leadership, we have not been approached, nobody has said anything to us,” he said.
