The Premier League Board - PLB is standing by the side of Kessben FC and the family of Batholomew Yeboah, who passed away after a league game.
The death of the player has left the football family in complete sorrow.
Kessben FC's 19 year-old central defender died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra where he had been taken to following complications from the weekend's Glo Premier League match against Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park.
The PLB has sent a letter of commiseration to Kessben FC and the family concerning the terrible event.
"The Board expresses its profound sympathies to Kessben FC and consoles the bereaved family, on its own behalf and on behalf of the participating teams, in the on-going League.
"May the soul of the young player, Batholomew Yeboah rest in perfect peace," it read.
As a sign of respect, the PLB has directed that the weekend's round of games in the league be dedicated to Yeboah's memory.
"PLB informs all the Teams and officiating officials to wear black arm-bans which the Board will provide to all teams as well as observe a minute silence before the kick-off, at all venues next Sunday, which is dedicated in honour of his memory."
The young defender was making his second appearance for Kessben in the Glo Premier League.
