Mr Jonathan Tackie-Komme, incumbent and National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Odododiodioo on Sunday appealed to activists, supporters and sympathisers of the party to unite and win more support to ensure landslide victory on December 7.
He said this was the only way Ghanaians could be relieved of the hardships they were going through.
Mr Tackie-Komme made the appeal at a rally organised by Odododiodioo Branch of Zongo Caucus of NDC at Zongo Lane.
He asked the electorate to show their commitment and love to vote for Professor John Evans Atta Mills and all NDC parliamentary candidates to form the next government to ensure a better Ghana for future generations.
Alhaji Mohammed Ashaar, Greater Accra Regional Co-ordinator of Zongo caucus explained that it was formed for residents of Zongo communities that shared the vision and aspirations of NDC and urged them to vote massively for the party.
Alhaji Imoro Musah, chairman of Odododiodioo branch of the caucus said it was not a parallel structure to existing structures of the party but to complement efforts of the leadership to win power and achieve objectives and aims of the founding fathers of the party.
He appealed to residents of Zongo communities not to allow themselves to be influenced to create confusion during Election 2008.
Nii Lante Vanderpuye, director of operations of Atta Mills campaign team stressed the need for a change in the country and called on the electorate to vote for the Party to enable the people overcome the prevailing high cost of living.
Pastor Richard Ankrah an executive member of Odododiodioo constituency expressed concern about the inability of stakeholders in the building industry to compel the government to announce the actual cost of the Golden Jubilee House.
“Even though work on the James Town Fishing Harbour has not started government announced that it would cost 16 million dollars, what about the cost of the Golden Jubilee House,” he asked.
Mr Mohammed Seth Boye, organiser of Odododiodioo branch of the caucus urged the electorate to vote for the party to retain the seat.
Alhaji Said Sinare, National Vice Chairman of the Party asked Muslims to show appreciation to the NDC for the statutory declaration of the celebration of major festivals in Islam by voting for the Party.
Present were Mr Benjamin Nii Ayikuma Okai and Mr Walid Anyetei Laryea, former NDC parliamentary aspirants for the area and Mr Daniel Okai, Odododiodioo constituency chairman.
