The National Council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has tasked the party's rank and file to work tirelessly to secure victory in Ghana's 2024 election.
In a statement delivered on behalf of the Council by its Chairman, Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, the NDC elders praised the efforts of all national officers, polling agents, and the entire rank and file of the party for their hard work and preparations thus far. They urged members to remain vigilant as election day approaches.
The Council called on all NDC polling station agents to remain loyal and dedicated to their responsibilities on election day, describing their assignment as a “call to national duty to secure the future of Ghanaian youth.”
They further noted that the party has run an effective campaign, characterized by enthusiasm and volunteerism. The Council encouraged members to intensify their efforts in the final days and maintain unwavering vigilance in safeguarding the ballot.
The 2024 election, they emphasized, represents a “battle for democracy and the rescue of our public institutions from the brink.”
The statement concluded with a rallying call to Ghanaians to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC to rescue the nation’s soul and put an end to eight years of impunity, corruption, greed, arrogance, and nepotism.
