Heart of Lions have asked head coach Sarfo Castro to step aside till the season comes to an end.
The Kpando-based team has been struggling in the second round of the league as they are just above the relegation zone with 29 points with six games remaining.
Castro, who joined the club at the start of the season, according to the club has failed to inspire them as relegation is looming.
"Coach Castro started well with us but now situations have changed and management realize the best thing to do is to ask him to step aside for some few games and then we can bring him back," Heart of Lions team manager Yashin Laryea told Joy sports
"He needs to refresh his mind because there is a lot on him and that’s why we have relieved him of the post for the sake of the team and his career as a coach as well.''
In his absence assistant coach Seth Hofmann will take charge till the season comes to an end.
