8:30am – Asante Kotoko CEO George Amoako has the believe clubs in the country are not yet ready to battle with other teams in Africa for the CAF inter-club competitions titles. According to him, the difference in gap between Ghanaian clubs and their peers in Africa is wide and they need to put in the extra effort to close the margin.
Speaking to Asempa FM, he said "Other African clubs are miles ahead of us, we need to work hard to bridge the gap as it is possible to catch up.
 
"As we speak now no club in Ghana can win the CAF Confederations or Champions league. Ghanaian clubs have a long way to go We need to do a lot, to meet the standard out there" Amoako said.
 

9:02am – Ex-Ghana international Ben Owu has reportedly joined Hearts of Oak as a goalkeeping coach. Owu moved to the Accra-based club from AshantiGold SC after his four years spell with the Miners came to an end. He has vast experience on the local scene having been goalkeepers' coach for Sekondi Hasaacas, Medeama SC and King Faisal Babes. 3:00pm – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will formally launch the 2019/2020 football season on Friday 20th December 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 5pm.

This event is taking place within the framework of the Football Association’s calendar of events for the 2019/2020 football season, which kicks off on the weekend of December 27-29, 2019.
