The Cowboy Stadium in Texas has been innundated with over 65,000 fans all anxious, waiting for that dreadful Joshua Clottey and Pacquiao bout Majority of those fans appear to be in support of the champion, but pockets of passionate Ghanaian fans could be seen waving the Ghana flag in jollity. The two boxers entered the arena a while ago, all with smiles and headed straight into their changing rooms to get ready for that big fight. The two boxers file onto the ring one after another with a madness of applause from the cheering crowd. Clottey spotted in his grey and white shorts looking all confident and dancing to a Ghanaian ruff and smooth song- swagger enters the ring He throws his clenched fist, dancing and warming himself up for the bout. Pacquiao in his red and white and his usual well trimmed beard inching down his chin appear calm, walked briskly without any camaraderie. The two pugilists before then were treated to a rendition of their national anthems while still in their dressing rooms. Soraya Simons gave a rendition of Ghana’s national anthem whilst Arnel Pineda gave that of the Philippines. The rendition of the American anthem, host of the bout is sung by three ladies. After brief introduction the fight is underway at exactly 4:50 am Round One Pacquiao started the round aggressively with an over hand right that unsettled Clottey. The Ghanaian was on the defensive, his face well covered. Round Two Pacquiao went for the body shots still attacking. Clottey comes in once in a while with unexpected jabs Round Three Clottey opened the round more confident and landed up a left hook right hand combination. But Pacquiao took over and shot definite punches Round Four Pacquiao looked even more aggressive with his vicious left hooks and strong body shots teasing Clottey to open up. Round Five Clottey unleashed a right jab but failed to follow it up with a left hook. Pacquiao as usual looked busy with his body punches Round Six Pacquiao again was on the offensive, very fast with his punches and kept Clottey on the defense. Round Seven Clottey is guarded. Pacquiao tries to break him down with his definate punches. Round Eight Another dominating round for the champion. Round Nine Clottey, laid back, waiting for Pacquiao to make a mistake, but the champion looks certain in his assaults. Round Ten Clottey now begins to fight and tries to pin his opponent down, but Pacquiao remains solid in his attack. Round Eleven and Twelve Clottey unleashes two upper cuts to the jaw of Pacquiao but coils back in defence and allows the Philipine back to his business. Rafael Ramos brings the bout to an end.
