Ghanaian broadcaster who works in Atlanta, USA, Kweku Osei has advised Africans to embrace their uniqueness and project the continent.
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio on JoyNews, the broadcaster said Africans must love their skin.
“We have to embrace who we are, love the skin that we are in. People ask “what are dark secrets? And I always tell them it is not the negative thing that somebody might think but is taking something that is considered negative. They tell us 'we are black, you are black'. They make these things a negative thing,” he said.
Kweku Osei also advised filmmakers and everyone in the arts industry to continue to push African works.
“I want to encourage the filmmakers, those who are behind the cameras, who are creating music, to continue to push the music and the arts and hopefully we will be able to showcase some of these films," he advised.
