For five years running, the number one Akan radio station in Kumasi, Nhyira Fm, has hosted keep fit, fan and social clubs to compete in various sporting activities to stay healthy, network and socialize.
This year's Nhyira Fm Keepfit and Fan Clubs Games recorded huge success, as the event run concurrently with the MTN Family Fun Day at the Ridge Park in Denyame.
Various clubs battled for laurels in 50 meter dash race, 5-aside football, volleyball, Table Tennis, Tug-of-Peace, Weight Lifting, High Jump, “Jama” contest among others.
M. Y. Ventures Keepfit Club dominated both track and field events, emerging overall winners as they placed first on the medal table with 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze.
Some competing clubs were not enthused at the participation of Fiasal Alhassan, reigning Ghana’s Strongest, who propelled team M.Y. to win most of the contests.
Clement Prince Des Bordes, Operations Manager and Head of Business Development Unit at M. Y. Ventures attributed the outstanding performance to adequate training and strict healthy living and dietary instructions from Dr. Caesar.
“M. Y. Ventures is the home of high quality healthy living and natural energy enhancing products that does not only revitalize the body but also provides nourishment and nutrients that keep the body in shape, refreshed and energized and it is not a surprise that our athletes excelled in all the sporting activities. It is just a manifestation of the quality that M. Y. Ventures stands for” he said.
The Venture offered other competitors the opportunity to sample its Lina F-2 Energy Tea.
Dr. Caesar, CEO of M. Y. Ventures encouraged sports men and women, athletes and all who want to stay energetic to patronize his company’s products.
“Our doors are always open to you and your well being is our concern, we need you to be fit to do greater things for your families, your community and the nation as a whole”, he emphasized.
Ghanaian music artistes, K.K. Fosu and Obrafour thrilled participants in an evening jamz to climax the event.
Jim Aglah, Business Development Manager of Multimedia Group, Kumasi Division, commended the clubs for the splendid performance and promised the event would continue to evolve to be more attractive.
