A middle aged man has been burnt to death in a fire incident at Atonsu in Ashanti Region, Wednesday morning.
The man was said to have been trapped and made several attempt to escape shortly after his room caught fire but to no avail.
He was burnt beyond recognition, Luv FM’s Delali Atiase told Joy FM's Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
Scores of residents are wailing for the man who is reported to be a worker of one of the financial institutions in Obuasi.
Fire officer SO Abedi confirmed the incident in an interview but said the cause of the fire is not immediately known but hinted of an investigation to unravel the cause of the fire.
