A retired teacher was accused of attempting to engage in sexual activity with his friend's wife in Bibiani-Natwikumye, located in the Western North Region.
Philip Osei was ordered to pay a fine of GH¢2,000.00, along with a sheep, a bottle of schnapps, a crate of eggs, and other items as compensation to his friend, Nana Ibrahim, and his wife.
The local chiefs and elders in the Bibiani Anhweaso Bekwai municipality found him guilty of the offense.
Initially, when the incident was reported, the retired teacher was handed over to the police in Bibiani for investigation.
However, he was later released to the chiefs for resolution, during which the aforementioned sanctions were imposed.
Meanwhile, the woman's husband Nana Ibrahim Addae has accepted the compensation and is satisfied with the verdict.
