The story of Mariam Eliasu not only inspires hope for the socially disadvantaged and poor living on the streets. It challenges the privileged in society to extend help to these people, most of whom have greatness embedded in their future.
At age 18, Mariam left her family in the northern part of Ghana to move to the capital, Accra, to look for a job. She needed to both survive and undergo education. And she chose the hard way, rather than compromise on her moral standards.
For more than five years, she carried loads for people daily and received stipends for her services. Mariam learned to save some of her earnings whilst spending the rest on her education and feeding.

From her experiences, Mariam was inspired to write a book titled Porter Path: From Load to Grace. In partnership with the Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations (RAIN Foundations), the Porter Path Foundation has been established to address the issue of shelter and decent living for porters and the poor on the streets.
Both Mariam's Book and Porter Path Foundation will be officially launched in certain parts of Africa, Europe, America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East next year, 2026.
