Iconic Italian brand, MARTINI, makers of the world’s leading vermouth and favourite Italian sparkling wine, has selected the multi-talented Mawuli Peter Gavor as the face of the brand in Ghana.
Mawuli’s charming personality reflects the brand and the market it appeals to, a statement issued by the company has said.
MARTINI is celebrating its 150 Anniversary year in 2013.
It said like MARTINI, Mawuli believes that where you end up in life does not depend on fate or destiny, but on the choices you make and the attitude you take. “Charismatic, fun loving, athletic, driven, with a magnetic personality: he’s not just the face of MARTINI® in Ghana; he represents its essence too.”
Mawuli has lived in Ghana, the United States and South Africa, and the result is a young man who has become as cosmopolitan as the MARTINI brand he represents. “As much as I perceive myself as optimistic, I also consider myself a realist. When I first heard I was being considered for this, I honestly didn't think the chances of me getting it were very high, because I was up against some pretty big names. But when you think about it, luck can be created. Put forward the best you have to offer, and after that things will happen the way they're meant to.”
Since returning to Ghana in mid-2013, he has created his own luck and appeared on television shows as both host and guest, and even starred in a film directed by renowned Shirley Frimpong-Manso. “It's been pretty interesting being back home. To be honest I wasn't planning on being back for a while, but in retrospect I couldn’t have made a better decision. Luck is indeed an attitude.”
As the MARTINI brand ambassador, Mawuli is expected to headline exciting consumer engagements, media appearances and events lined up to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of MARTINI.
“MARTINI is one of the biggest and classiest brands in the world so I'm definitely looking forward to playing my role in connecting the people of Ghana to MARTINI,” he added.
