Emmanuel Edem Smith popularly known as MC Smiling Smith has been crowned the Best Master of Ceremony Award at the just ended 2022 Ghana Events Industry Conference and Awards (GEIC) held at the De Icon Events Centre in Accra.

The award is an acknowledgement of his creativity and consistency in his craft in the Events Industry as well as being a highly recognised personality advocating for best ethics in the sector.

Interacting with the media after receiving the award, Smiling Smith was extremely grateful to God, his clients, friends and family for the support over the years for keeping the brand active and helping him seize every opportunity that comes his line of duty.

He thanked his colleagues in the MC's network who work tirelessly to make sure they deliver precisely and trusted delivery.

"It was a tough category I would say. First of all, I would like to say, thank God for always answering my prayers. And a very good work done to the visionaries of the Event Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG) headed by Madam Kate Hassan and the GEIC Board because it's not easy putting up such credible events like this", he said.

The fourth edition of the GEIC was on the theme "Empowerment and Sustainability” which started with an Aviation Night and continued with a two days seminar with top notch speakers held at the Underbridge Event Center.

The event aims at creating a platform for the operators in the event industry to create synergies and pool resources from each other by promoting a high level ethics within the event Industry and management to high standards.

MC Smiling Smith is into events, advertising, TV & Radio Production, voice over artist and voice coach.

He starred in a couple of TV series- L&G, Moni n Phame, XOXO, MultiKolored, Buddy language and also TV commercials, MTN Mobile Money as the first brand ambassador, Perfecto Noodles among others.

He has over the years hosted couple of events including, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Kids Parties, Conferences, Awards Gala Nights, and Beauty Pageants.

He handles events with thousands of crowd and any huge event of any size.

Adding to that, he hosted the 2014 World Cup Fun Park at t he Accra Mall throughout the tournament and also consistently hosted the Ghana Events Industry Conference & Awards from 2019 till date (2022).

He had the opportunity to host celebrity wedding receptions for renowned artiste Becca and  Trigmatic. And also hosted Miss Ghana 2019, 2020, 2021 Talent Show, Fashion Show & Grand Finale.

He is a versatile MC who keeps guests beaming with smiles till after the event and also give clients lasting impressions and memories.
