The Chairman of McDan Group and Foundation has donated three dialysis machines with chairs worth $57,000 to the Renal and Dialysis Unit of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
Dr Daniel McKorley presenting the items to the Military High Command underscored the need for Ghanaians to complement government efforts, particularly in the health sector to facilitate quality access to health care.

The McDan Foundation said the donation was to help reduce the rising incidence of death arising out of dialysis challenges and help improve the general health care of the people.

Lt General Obed Boamah Akwa, the Chief of Defence Staff who received the machines on behalf of the Hospital, expressed appreciation to Dr McKorley.

He said the donation was timely and pledged to ensure the highest maintenance regime for the machines.

He commended Dr McKorley for his exemplary gesture, which he said is worthy of emulation.

The Chief of Defence Staff encouraged patriotic Ghanaians to donate more Dialysis machines to support the Renal and Dialysis Unit of the Hospital.
