Local food giant, Mckeown catering services, has rewarded 25 members of staff for their exemplary contribution to the business’ growth.
Mckeown was adjudged restaurant of the year 2019 by the Ghana Tourism Authority in the Ashanti region.
Chief Executive of McKeown Group of Companies, Dr. Kwaku Adu-Aninkorah, attributes the achievement of the Mckeown brand to the hard work and operational expertise of his workers who have remained dedicated over the years.
He says the dedication to duty inspired him to award the hardworking staff, in appreciation of the selflessness and commitment of the staff.
“So far, we have awarded 25 staff members and it’s going to be yearly as we always do. All we want to do is to honor the staff, so that they can be of service to Mckeown” he said.
Dr. Adu Aninkorah noted staff motivation empowers employees to work with enthusiasm.
He therefore urged employers to inspire workers by awarding them.
“The staff are our greatest asset as a company,” Dr. Adu-Aninkorah emphasized. “All companies should find a way of motivating their staff one way or the other, doing that will make them contribute immensely to the company”.
Mckeown plans to provide plots of land and a two-bedroom house as awards to hardworking staff members in the future.
Managing Director of the Asokwa branch, Albert Benjamin Owusu, speaking on behalf of staff of Mckeown Catering Services appreciated the gesture.
“It’s been God from day one and we thank our director for this kind gesture. The awards will empower us to work hard,” he said.
