Managing Director at McSarpong Medical Systems Co. Limited, Dr Richard Nana Sarpong has been crowned ‘Ghana's Most Outstanding Personality in Medical Equipment Supplies and Distribution industry’ at the just-ended 9th edition of the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame Awards held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on Friday night, February 28th, 2025 in Accra.
The acknowledgement symbolises his outstanding contributions in the distribution of highly specialized medical equipment and consumables to help health facilities provide utmost patient care.
The 9th edition of the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame organised by the Business Executives automatically inducts him as a member of the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame winners, a corporate network platform in Ghana.
The Hall of Fame is an exclusive executive association that embodies top CEOs and Group Chairmen on a common platform.
Speaking to the media after receiving the award, Dr Richard Nana Sarpong expressed his profound gratitude to his team of able men and women for their unflinching dedication always towards the progress of the business.
He added that the award reflects his unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards over the years.

He plays an active key role in helping McSarpong expand its value throughout the manufacturer-to-patient supply chain, improving patient care, and driving long-term customer value and earnings growth. For the past years, McSarpong Medical Systems Co Ltd. has set up several hospitals and clinics. The company designs, builds, and equips medical facilities including hospitals, clinics, and medical laboratories for both clinical and research purposes, and also provides top-notch after-sale services to all its clients.

Before founding McSarpong Medical Systems, Richard was a practicing medic.
He is on the board of directors of A & S Co. Ltd., MMS Ghana Ltd. and First Gateway Inc.
He pursued a medical programme degree at the University, and holds a Master's in Finance and Accounting, and studied Project Management Professional at the Cambridge Centre of Excellence.
His specializations include Industrial Organization, Labor Economics, Public Finance, and Project Evaluation.
Currently, Dr Richard Nana Sarpong is the country rep for Advanced Health Canada Group.
Earlier in his business venture, Richard held multiple leadership positions in field operations at Gateway Healthcare Group. He also served as the Student President for Physician Associates Students during his undergraduate years at the University of Cape Coast.
His mission is to empower healthcare facilities with cutting-edge medical equipment, reliable supplies, and expert services to enhance patient care and improve healthcare outcomes in Ghana and across the globe.
