Lionel Messi was among a host of Barcelona stars to attend the wedding of Xavi Hernandez and his partner Núria Cunillera on Saturday.
Hundreds of well-wishers turned out to greet the couple as they arrived at the Convent de Blanes in the Catalan capital at around 6pm.
Messi and his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo were joined on the guest list by team-mates including Víctor Valdes, Cesc Fabregas, Javier Mascherano, Pedro Rodriguez, Jordi Alba and Andres Iniesta.
The lavish reception was at the Marimurtra Botanical Gardens with a host of Xavi's former team-mates and Liga stars also joining the party.
They included Santi Ezquerro, Oleguer Presas, Gabri García, Pepe Reina and Albert Jorquera as well as former Athletic Bilbao winger Joseba Etxeberría.
But there were a number of high-profile absences such as Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol, both abroad, and Iker Casillas, Xavi’s close friend, who is still on holiday.
