The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Modern Floors Ghana, Basil David Anthony, has been nominated in this year's Africa Forty under 40 awards under the Architecture/Design & Décor category scheduled to be held on 30th March 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Forty under 40 Africa Awards is to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the continent's most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service, and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.
Basil David Anthony is an internationally recognized award-winning Ghanaian-British business personality, entrepreneur & philanthropist with almost 20 years of experience in various business sectors including flooring, information technology, marketing, events, sourcing/procurement, entertainment, travel/tours & event ticketing across the African, Middle Eastern, Asian & European markets.
He took to his social media handles to express his gratitude to the organisers for the nomination, and pledged to continue being a force in the business sector of Ghana.
He used the opportunity to lobby the public to cast their votes for him by visiting the Forty under 40 Africa Awards.
Basil David Anthony serves as an inspiring respectable youthful public figure whose philanthropic works in 2023 alone spoke immensely of his service to the community.
In June 2023, he supported the Portia Gana Foundation to end period poverty by donating sanitary pads and period cups to 500 girls in Jirapa, Upper West Region, Ghana.
He and his team from Modern Floors fed and refreshed over 200 children in the Tema-Ashaiman community in April on Easter Monday as well.
Modern Floors is a UK trademarked flooring brand which wholesales & retails the best quality affordable artificial carpet grass, astroturf, vinyl (PVC/SPC) tiles (LVT), carpet tiles , adhesives and other indoor and outdoor flooring products used for both residential & commercial spaces.
The worldwide recognised flooring brand has been operating for nearly five years in Ghana with four showroom locations in Spintex Road (Flower Pot), East Legon (Okponglo Junction), Weija (Broadcasting Taxi Rank), and Tema-Ashaiman (Toll Booth) – all in the Greater Accra region.
Modern Floors in December 2022 launched its first location outside the shores of Ghana in Middle East, Asia. The new location is strategically situated within the busiest building construction material and home decor hub in the United Arab Emirates’ luxurious commercial city of Dubai.
