The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, Gone with the Wind, Schindler's List are amongst the all-time top 10 movies and one that I personally like to add, Charlie St. Cloud.
Imagine the emotions that these movies evoked in the audience and in you when you saw any of them. There were moments where you cheered, you laughed and sometimes cried a few tears.
To think that these movies evoked almost the same range of emotions amongst different audiences around the globe makes them truly amazing. But what's more amazing is that the movies were born from human brains like yours and mine. The story, the screenplay, the equipment used, the set and the costumes were all birthed from a human mind, one like yours. Last I checked, you had one and so do I... I believe. It's not news that the human mind possesses immense power to create things including movies that stir up emotions. I like to call it the reflections of the God factor in us - human beings.
The limitlessness of God's power in U.S. Is often limited by.... guess what? Our mindset.
The mindset of a person is the setting of his mind. When your mindset is that of s beggar, you will beg for brass while sitting on a golden chamber pot. Today we are faced with a myriad of challenges but until our minds are set on finding solutions and fixing the future we risk being beggarly and victims of our circumstances.
Rwanda, Singapore, China and most nations I know that turned their fortunes did so by a resetting of the mindset. Where is the Ghanaian mind set? Set on ridiculing the serious issues or finding solutions?
Remember the Apostle Paul's admonishment "Be yet transformed by the renewal of your minds".
I challenge you this day to set your mind on the things that count, on the actions that can transform. Think transformation and you will act in the interest of transformation and you will achieve transformation.
Go Forward and Make Rain.
I am in Nhyira Addo, The Rainmaker.
Shalom!
