Burial took place, with full military honours, in Kumasi yesterday of a former Commander of the 2nd Infantry Brigade, now Northern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces.Colonel Alhaji Seidu Ayoma(retired) died on Thursday after a short illness at age 72.He passed out as a commissioned officer from the Military Academy and Training School in 1963, and retired from the Ghana Armed Forces in 1990.Colonel Ayoma’s contemporaries describe him as brother and brave soldier who paid his dues to country and the world.The bereaved family has set September 14 for the final rites, according to Islamic custom.
