MTN Ghana has once again distinguished itself by winning six prestigious awards at the sixthGhana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA).
MTN Ghana topped all other operators in the following categories;
- Telecom Operator of the Year
- Best Telecom Business of the Year (MTN Business)
- Best Customer Service of the Year
- Customer Service Team of the Year
- Mobile Money Service of the Year
MTN Ghana’s Chief Information Officer Abbad Reda was also adjudged Chief Information Officer of the year.
The awards were in recognition of MTN Ghana’s excellent customer care, innovation and product development and deployment.

Commenting on the awards, the CEO of MTN Ghana Ebenezer Asante said, “it gives us great pleasure to receive these awards. They validate MTN’s focus on providing a distinct customer experience with innovative, relevant services andaffirm our leadership in the industry. The areas in which we won the awards are significant ones and confirm that MTN is indeed the network of choice.”
He added, “winning the Customer Service award for the third consecutive time shows that we are indeed a customer centric company. MTN has taken a lot of steps to enhance our customer experience and our staff have been trained to understand that no matter what their functional responsibility or level is, we all must focus in delighting the customer. The awards given to MTN Business, Mobile Money and our Chief Information Officer all demonstrate the value of the continuous investments we are making in using the best talents who will deliver the best experiences”.

The awards received by MTN are the results of decades of significant investments in network technology and infrastructure, customer relationship management and staff investment. Since 2006, MTN has invested US$2.5 billion in network expansion and enhancement. The Company is poised to roll out fast, reliable LTE services in all regions in Ghana and will be the first to deploy on-the-go 4G services. MTN’s customer service has also seen distinct enhancement with traditional and online service centres and branches serving subscribers across the country. MTN Mobile Money has extended financial services across the length and breadth of Ghana, while MTN Enterprise Business offers solutions that help businesses optimize their operations.
