MTN Ghana has successfully launched another innovative service called “ATM Cash Out” to offer Mobile Money subscribers the convenience and ease of withdrawing money instantly from ATMs anytime, anywhere without a card.
The ATM Cash Out service is currently available at all Fidelity Bank (GH) ATM’s across the country and soon to be rolled out across all partner banks ATMs nationwide.
This new service was introduced as part of the annual MTN Mobile Money Month celebrations, which is under the theme “MTN Mobile Money: its fast, it’s easy, every time everywhere”.
In a statement, the Senior Manager of MTN Mobile Money, Eli Hini said “MTN is committed to providing services that enable customers improve their lives through the use of digital devices and touch points available in the country.
He said, “I believe the introduction of this innovative service to the Ghanaian market will enrich the user experience of customers”. Customers can now access their cash anytime, anywhere even when Merchant outlets have closed”.
Mr. Ebenezer Asante, Sales and Distribution Executive of MTN Ghana said “a year ago, we launched the Mobile Money Month to promote and begin national discussions on a cashless society and we achieved this objective with various stakeholders still sustaining various discussions on the theme throughout the year.”
He said this year’s activities will reinforce MTN’s interest in sustaining the use of Mobile Money.
As part of the Mobile Money Month celebrations, MTN will run exciting promotions to reward existing and new customers of MTN Mobile Money as well as embark on customer education activities. MTN will also run Mobile Money clinics and educational events and floats across the country.
MTN was the first to launch Mobile Money services in Ghana. MTN Group operates Mobile Money in 14 countries with over 10 million customers.
