The Multimedia Group Limited has donated sets of some personal protective equipment (PPE) and alcohol-based hand sanitizers to some health centres and police stations in Accra.

Beneficiaries of the PPEs include the Kotobabi and Nima Police Stations, Maamobi General Hospital and Nima Polyclinic.

The gesture, according to the General Manager of Adom Cluster & MultiTv, Abdulai Awudu, is to complement government's efforts in the fight against coronavirus.

Presenting the items on behalf of the group, Abdulai Awudu urged the beneficiaries to continue giving off their best.
"This is our contribution to the fight, you guys have been tremendous, and you have been great on the frontline.
"We know you’re the first point of contact when anybody is not feeling well so you’re really exposed but we see the great job that you have been doing and we know that we are in this together.
"As media people too we are on the frontline trying to educate people and we thought that it will be good for us to come and support you in your work," he said.
Administrator of the Maamobi Hospital, Madam Helen Tetteh, who received the items was hopeful they would go a long way to aid and protect the staff in their line of duties.

At the Kotobabi Police Station, Chief Superintendent Yvonne Cindy Osei, assured the team that the items would be put to good use.

Host of Joy FM's Super Morning Show, Daniel Dadzie, who was also part of the team called on other organisations to emulate the gesture.
"I think that it is an effort that is laudable and must be copied, must be promoted by other media houses, and I am excited to know also that we are not stopping here there will be many other places which we will be supporting in like fashion," he said.
