Eight presenters with the Multimedia Group Limited were Saturday honoured at the maiden edition of the Radio and Television Personality Awards in Accra. Deputy news editor and anchor of Newsnight Dzifa Bampoe was adjudged the radio newscaster of the year in English, while presenter of Cosmopolitan Show Doreen Andoh received best female radio presenter. Bola Ray was adjudged radio drive host of the year and DJ Black received an award for radio DJ of the year. Other team members from the multimedia group including Daddy Bosco and Black Rasta both of Hitz FM and Papa Bills of Adom FM were also honoured. Some of the award winners who spoke to Joy News could not hide their excitements, saying it would spur them on to improve on their work. An honorary award was presented to the CEO of the multimedia group, Kwasi Twum while peacefm’s Kwame Sefa Kayi grabbed the overall RTP award of the year. The well-attended event was graced by former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, some state officials, media personnel and other high profile personalities. The show was interspersed with wonderful songs from C.K. Mann, Gyedu Blay Ambuley, D Cryme amongst others.
