The founder of the Heaven Way church, Patricia Asiedua aka ‘Nana Agradaa’, has been granted a ¢50,000 bail with three sureties.
The self-styled evangelist, who had previously been denied bail on two occasions, was granted bail on Monday when she returned to the High Court where she has been charged with one count of charlatanic advertisement and six counts of defrauding by false pretence.
She has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. She will however remain in custody following similar charges preferred against her at a Circuit Court. She has been charged with one count of charlatanic advertisement and five counts of defrauding by false pretence at the Circuit Court.
She has consequently been remanded to reappear on Wednesday, October 26.

‘Nana Agradaa’ was arrested on Sunday, October 9, following allegations of scam, among others, levelled against her by some members of her church and the public.
The Police in a statement said, “Anyone who is a victim of the alleged money doubling scam should report to the Accra Regional Police Command for further action and to assist in the investigation.”
