The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially deployed the first batch of 13,700 trained teachers from accredited Teacher Training Colleges to various educational institutions across the country for the 2025/2026 national service period.
According to the NSA, all deployed service personnel must check their placements on the authority's website and print their appointment letters for endorsement by their designated user agencies.
In a statement on Wednesday, March 26, the NSA stated that the mandatory National Service is set to begin on April 2, 2025.
To facilitate a smooth process, regional validation exercises will commence at all NSA regional centers from March 26 to April 11, 2025.
The NSA has urged all assigned personnel to complete the validation process within this period to ensure their official registration.
The authority also reminded the public that, as mandated by the National Service Authority Act 1119 of 2024, every Ghanaian citizen aged 18 or older who has completed an accredited tertiary institution is required to undertake national service to the state.
In its commitment to improving education nationwide, the NSA has pledged to strengthen its collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), and private schools.
This partnership aims to address learning gaps, particularly in rural communities where teacher shortages persist.
The NSA extended its best wishes to all deployed service personnel, encouraging them to serve diligently and contribute to the nation’s educational development.
