A deputy general secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, George Lawson has been involved in a motor accident at Mampong in the Ashanti Region.
The accident occurred at about 5am Friday.
George Lawson was travelling with a driver to Sunyani carrying accreditation cards for the party's congress soon to open in the Brong Ahafo regional capital.
He told Asempa FM a while ago that the vehicle on which he and the driver traveled suddenly skidded off the road and somersaulted about four times and that they escaped unscathed because they had belted up.
He said he has since been treated and discharged by medics to continue his journey, advised also to seek further medical attention while in Sunyani.
