Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has verbally assaulted ace presenter Adakabre Frimpong Manso of Adom FM.Akamba likened the top presenter to a ‘dog’ that went back to its vomit, claiming that Adakabre was also a failure in his chosen profession. The NDC guru took Adakabre to the cleaners since, according to him, the presenter was fond of making bad comments about the Mills Administration.Akamba said Adakabre was the cause of the recent hullabaloo in the entire country following Amina’s alleged bus sex saga.He wondered why Adakabre showed so much interest in the matter and went ahead to make noise about it to create the impression that the country was not safe to live in.Mr Akamba made the statements when he spoke at a press conference held at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) in Kumasi recently. Other leading members of party also spoke at the conference. On his part, Solomon Yaw Nkansah, National Deputy Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of having a hand in the lies peddled by Amina to create unnecessary tension in the country.According to him, the NPP as a political party had a history of thriving on fear campaign, noting the Amina saga was a hoax to throw dust in the public’s eye.Nkansah stated that the government and for that matter the security agencies were on top of the security situation in the country, urging the populace to commend the government for that.On his personal assessment of the President Mills administration, he said roads, education, infrastructure, agriculture and others had seen significant progress under the NDC.The National Deputy Youth Organizer of NDC, James Kofi Fonoo, urged the party’s foot-soldiers to tone down their agitation and promised that the government would soon address their needs.Jobs, he said, would be made available for the youth of the country in the last two years of the Mills presidency, entreating the youth to be patient. He sternly warned the youth against believing in falsehoods being peddled by the NPP, noting the NPP had adopted that strategy to divert public attention from the NDC’s good works so far.Source: Daily Guide
