National Democratic Congress' Member of Parliament for Ketu South as well as the party's parliamentary candidate for Keta, have donated hand sanitisers, Veronica buckets and infrared thermometers to the Ketu South Municipal Health Directorate.
Fifi Kwetey and Dzidzorli Kwame Gakpe also made donations to some lorry terminals in Keta municipality of the Volta Region.
They made the donations at separate ceremonies.
Mr. Kwetey was first to present two infrared thermometers, 10 gallons of detergents, 40 cartons of gloves, 35 Veronica buckets as well as 200 millimetres of hand sanitisers.
The donation forms part of his contribution to the fight against Covid-19.
Constituency Chairman, Bright Kumordzie presented the items on his behalf at a short ceremony.
He assured the health authorities of the MP's commitment and that of the NDC, to the fight against this Covid-19 pandemic which has claimed nearly 100,000 lives globally.
Municipal Health Director for Ketu, Joseph Degle received the items. He promised to make judicious use of the items.
He revealed the directorate is monitoring 46 people who are in mandatory quarantine.
Meanwhile, some markets and lorry stations in Keta, Abor, Havedzi, Horvi, Dzelukope, Anlo Afiadenyigba and Kpota benefited from the donation from NDC parliamentary candidate for Keta, Dzidzorli Kwame Gakpe.
Mr. Gakpe called on the people to practice handwashing, social distancing and other hygiene protocols as announced by the Ghana Health Service.
