The National Youth Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Ludwig Akpene Hlodze, has called on the youth of the NDC to suspend all intended actions meant at retaliating the irresponsible actions of Anthony Karbo and the NPP Youth Wing.
His call follows reports that some NDC youth, who have been enraged by the recently outdoored Polo shirts, embossed with inscriptions aimed at mocking His Excellency the President and some leading members of the ruling party are planning similar actions against the NPP.
“This is not what Anthony Karbo and I committed ourselves to do in setting an exemplary leadership for our followers on various media platforms including Citi FM and recently broadcast “Status Quo” on Multi TV. I crave the indulgence of my colleague Anthony Karbo, to withdraw the provocative materials and apologise to the nation so as to engender the peaceful political atmosphere we currently enjoy across the country.” Ludwig added.
Speaking from the party Headquarters in Accra, Ludwig Hlodze further called on the youth of the NDC to shy away from any reprisal against the NPP as it will only taint the democratic and political tolerance Ghana commands in international circles.
“This tension could have been avoided if our colleagues in the NPP had considered the dire consequences of their actions. We in the NDC are ready to forgive them in pursuance to the admonishing of His Excellency the President, John Evans Atta Mills, that all should desist from the Politics of name-calling”.
Signed
Ludwig Hlodze
