The General Secretary of the Ruling National Democratic Congress, NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has issued a stern warning to speakers at the party's congress in Sunyani to stick to issues or face the wrath of the party.
The admonition appears to be one cut for party founder and former President Jerry Rawlings.
He is expected to address congress on Saturday, ahead of which action he has long served notice he has a lot to clear off his chest.
During the 32nd anniversary observation of the June 4 uprising this year in Kumasi, he indicated he was reserving some of his comments for the Sunyani congress.
But speaking during Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme which was broadcast live from the studios of Sunyani-based Ark FM on Thursday, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said the party will not allow anybody to deviate from issues penciled before the congress.
According to the General Secretary, the party has rules that must be followed and not even the founder of the party must deviate or he will meet with a point of order.
