A Parliamentary Candidate aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Okaikwei South constituency on Tuesday, February 14, celebrated the Valentine’s Day with patients at the Kaneshie Polyclinic in Accra.

Mr Omar Hayford said the occasion enabled him to get closer to persons in need and how best he could assist them.

He donated hospital consumables to aid the work of the facility, as he emphasised his solemn commitment to the improvement of healthcare delivery to the constituents of Okaikwei South.

According to him, health care is critical to him and he will do whatever he can to help the constituency in that regard.

Accompanying him were some delegates of the party and some opinion leaders across the eight electoral areas in the constituency.

In making the donation to the management of the facility, Omar Hayford acknowledged some of the challenges of healthcare delivery in the constituency and pledged to help address as soon as possible.

He seized the opportunity to plead with the people of Okaikwei South Constituency to vote for any candidate the party elects to lead the constituency.

According to him, the the NDC had a proven track record of improving and making Ghanaians better.

He added that the last NDC administration led my ex-President John Dramani Mahama made huge and unprecedented investment in the area of health infrastructure.

He cited the Dodowa District Hospital, the Ridge Hospital expansion and the University of Ghana Medical Centre as a few of the numerous facilities constructed accross the entire country by the NDC.

Omar Hayford added that similar developments happened simultaneously in Agriculture, Energy and Power Sector, Telecommunication, Education and many more.

He said the country badly needs the NDC to deliver it from what he described as "acute hardship", and pleaded with the electorates of OkaiKoi South not to be an exception to such a national call.
