Nestlé Cerelac, Ghana’s number one infant cereal, is celebrating a major milestone as it cements its dominance in the baby food market with an impressive 85 per cent market share.
For decades, Cerelac has been a trusted brand in Ghanaian households, nourishing generations of babies with essential nutrients during the most critical stages of growth and development.

Speaking at the Cerelac Nostalgia Fest, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana Limited, Salomé Azevedo, commended the Cerelac team and expressed gratitude to consumers for their loyalty and trust.
Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Deborah Kwablah, highlighted Cerelac’s wider impact on Ghana’s economy, noting that its supply chain directly supports local agriculture.

"For instance, take maize. Cerelac needs high-quality maize since it’s a baby food. So, we intervene at the farm level—starting with inputs—to ensure farmers get the right support. This ensures both quality and quantity,” she explained.
Category Manager for Nutrition at Nestlé Ghana, Kwabena Adaakwa, attributed the brand’s success to decades of parental trust.

“It didn’t happen by chance; it is the trust that millions of parents in Ghana have in us. It’s a big responsibility for us to sustain that trust. So today, let’s celebrate the past, acknowledge the present, and look ahead to the future,” he said.

As it marks this achievement, Nestlé Cerelac is looking ahead to expanding its reach, introducing more localized flavors, and continuing its legacy of excellence in infant nutrition for Ghanaian families.
