Premier league side New Edubiase has targeted a place in next year’s edition of the CAF Confederation Cup as the go up against AshantiGold in the final of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.
Part of the package for the winning team will be securing an automatic qualification to participate in the CAF confederation cup competition.
The Bekwai based side performance of a top five finish in last season’s premier league surprised everybody and they are motivated by Chelsea of Berekum’s maiden exploits in Africa Club competition and are eager to emulate.
This is New Edubiase’s first cup final in their history and Head Coach Anthony Commey is unfazed by the threat posed by Ashanti Gold.
“The time has come for as to do something that has never been done in the history of Ghana football”. We will win the trophy to ensure our qualification for the CAF Confederation cup next season”
