The education directorate of the Kumasi Metro has commended The Multimedia Group for the successful organisation of the 'Luv  FM Educational Fair' in the Ashanti Regional capital.

Public Relations Officer, Nana YeboahAsiamah II, was full of praise for The Multimedia Group Limited for the initiative.

"We thank The Multimedia Group Limited for these great things that you always do. The Ghanaian child will always be grateful to you,” he said.

After a successful maiden edition in 2018, the second edition saw an increase in  the number of  exhibitors and patrons.

The three-day event also provided a platform for prospective tertiary students to seek professional career advice and guidance, especially on admission.

From September 5 to 7, the Kumasi City Mall hosted more than 30 tertiary institutions including technical and vocational training institutions, workers and students from senior high schools from Ashanti Region and other parts of the country.

The third and final day had a different twist to the fair after patrons and prospective university students visited the stands to enquire about the schools and available programs on Thursday and Friday.

Patrons seize the opportunity to attend business and entrepreneurship seminars to learn how to identify and perhaps start their own businesses.

No-Business As Usual (NBU), a non-governmental organisation, kicked started the seminar by taking patrons through soft skills required to start a business, access to funds and how to keep it going.

It was followed by the Lyte Forex Academy Ghana, who provided education on forex trade and how patrons could create a business out of it.

Events Executive with The Multimedia Group in Kumasi, James Hemans, says patrons and exhibitors had their fair share of the event.

“It will continue as an annual event as a means to contribute to the educational sector,” he said.

Presbyterian University College, Garden City University College, Wisconsin International University College, Oxford Institute of Business and Journalism, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Ghana Baptist University College, Christian Service University College and Richlove Travel Consult, were all exhibiting.

“We had many people come to our stand. We even managed to register some of them. This is really good for us”, an exhibitor said.

Sponsors included Lyte Forex Ghana, No-Business As Usual (NBU) and GCB Bank.
