Gospel music promoter Nii Noi has revealed one of the creative strategies gospel artistes use to promote their songs.
Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, he said some gospel musicians rely on church choirs to popularise their songs within congregations.
“One other thing that helps gospel musicians in marketing their works is the church promo,” he stated.
Explaining the process, Nii Noi who is also the host of Hitz Praize Zone on Hitz FM, said artiste managers or the musicians themselves often liaise with choir directors to introduce new songs during church services.
“The manager will engineer it maybe through the director or the artiste himself after the song is out would drive by a church and say ‘hello’ or maybe do a line or a verse in that song to plug the song in that church,” he explained.
He further explained that gospel musicians also use both traditional and digital strategies for their music promotion although they are now at the understanding stage.
