Beleaguered Ga Mantse King Tackie Tawia II whose palace was yesterday taken over by another Ga Mantse, King Nii Adama Latse II says he will not take the law into his hands but will resort to the law courts and the Ga Traditional Council for resolution of the impasse.
The Ga Traditional Council is scheduled to meet Thursday and Friday to resolve the outstanding matters in the Ga State.
Spokesperson to King Tackie Tawiah II, Nii Boye Abbey who spoke on Adom TV’s Morning Show on Multi TV said King Tackie Tawiah being a law abiding citizen of the republic will go through all legal means to put an end to what he describes as a sacrilegious act.
He disclosed that King Tackie Tawiah being an astute lawyer and a firm believer in the rule of law will also head towards the Traditional Council in Dodowa where other matters also bothering on his Kingship are already up for adjudication.
Nii Boye Abbey said if they wanted to react in equal manner to what took place on Monday at the Ga Mantse palace, there would be bloodshed and that is what they are avoiding.
King Tackie Tawiah's spokesperson expressed surprise at some members of the royal houses and Kingmakers who took part in Monday’s palace coup, saying almost all of them were the same persons who installed King Tackie Tawiah.
He suspects they have been influenced by money .
